What To Expect After Approval

Step 1: Once your application has been approved you will be notified by e-mail, phone, or mail. Approval does not guarantee you a bird. Pampered Parrots Rescue & Aviary want to make sure that our feathered friends are going to a home that is best suitable for their needs.

Step 2: Once we have a bird available that matches your needs, we will contact you again to make sure you are still interested.

Step 3: Now you need to set up a visitation. We ask that you visit your bird at least once before it can go home with you. If you are more then 60 miles away, we will work out something with you. During your visit/s we ask that you stay at least 2 hours with your bird (this can be done over several visits or one). We will set down with you and go over proper care for your bird along with answering any questions you might have. If you do not set up a visitation date within a week of accepting your bird, your application will be denied.

Step 4: We will give you 3 weeks from the date you accepted your new parrot to get it's new home set up. This will allow you time for shipping in case you order a cage off the net.

*After 3 weeks and we have not heard from you, your application will be denied and the bird will go to the next qualified applicant.

Step 5: You will need to e-mail me a picture of your parrots new cage, toys, and set up before you are allowed to pick up your new baby.

Step 6: Once you are home, we would appreciate you letting us know how your new bird is adjusting to it's new environment and family members. We ask that you do this within two weeks of arriving home. Pictures would be great, but not necessary.

Final Step: We will contact you at your 6 month anniversary, and ask that you send us an updated photo of your parrot on it's cage within 7 days. This is mandatory and part of the contract you agreed to! If we see any problems with weight change or feather condition we want to be able to help you before it gets out of control.

*Failure to comply may result in the removal of your parrot.

WE HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR NEW COMPANION PARROT!
