Welcome to the tour of our Large Bird Room.  As we have said before, we try very hard to keep all our birds separated by size. This room holds Large Macaws and cockatoos.

One of the most important parts of our rescue is our emergency area. We always keep two brooders ready and warm for our birds. You never know when one may have an accident, become sick or even egg bound. You will also notice in the picture we have a scale. We weight our birds every quarter to make sure they are maintaining a healthy weight.  Every bird owner should have a scale and keep their baby monitered. A rapid loss of weight can be an indicator that your bird is sick without showing any other sign.  This is all part of our "record keeping" we do on each bird.
